I am not only gonna share a veg burger recipe here, but also a recipe, which is 100% healthy. Yes, a healthy burger recipe that you can easily prepare at home.
Why healthy veg burger recipe ?
I will say why not a burger which is completely healthy? The burger recipe I am about to share contains absolutely no harmful ingredient. Although, the burger that you choose to eat is no way healthy. And here, I can share with you a burger recipe, without compromising with taste. And that’s a promise.

1. Use of burger bun made of refined flour or wheat flour bread with less than 50% of wheat four. | Use of burger which is 100% whole wheat. |

3. Use of tomato ketchup loaded with sugar. | Home-made ketchup with same taste and zero harm. |

I am NOT against any food brand. I have just listed the reasons which forced me too, for searching for an alternate like this healthy burger.
Recipe for burger
Veg burger recipe
Ingredients
- ½ cup Kidney beans
- ½ cup soya bean
- ¼ cup chopped onion
- 1 tbsp ginger and garlic paste
- green chillies chopped
- tbsp oats flour
- 1 tsp blend of ground spices
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- rock salt to taste
- mayonnaise (home-made)
- tomato ketchup(home-made)
- lettuce leaves, tomato and onion (for base)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Steps for making burger patty
- For patty, you need soaked kidney beans and soya beans. Once soaked properly, cook kidney beans in the pressure cooker for 4-5 whistles.
- Once cooked nicely, allow it to cool down.
- Then, in a mixer grinder or using a masher, mash the beans well.
- Grind soaked soya beans as well in the grinder.
- Now, in another bowl, take both. Add oats flour to it and mix well.
- In a pan now, heat some olive oil. Add ginger garlic paste, green chillies and sauté well.
- Now add, finely chopped onion till golden brown. Add coriander powder, blend of ground spices and rock salt at this stage.
- Once spices are cooked, it will release oil from sides.
- Add the soya bean and kidney mixture and cook for about 3-5 minutes.
- Turn off the flame and allow it to cool down.
- Once cooled down, divide it into 4 equal portions and make a patty.
- Once you are done with patty, for better taste toast it on a pan again to make crust crispier. Your healthy patty is ready.
Assembling burger
- Firstly, you need burger bun (home-made). Cut it half.
- Take spoonful of tomato ketchup (home-made) and mayonnaise(home-made). Apply ketchup on both sides of the burger bun. Apply mayonnaise the same way.
- Keep slices of tomato and onion over the base of sauces, followed by prepared burger patty.
- Place a lettuce leaf. { I have used cabbage leaves since I didn’t find lettuce due to lock down}.
- Place another half of the bun on the top.
- Insert a toothpick for the stability of burger.
- Prepare all three burgers using same method.






Absolutely healthy and tasty ( promised taste) burger recipe is ready.
“Healthy is boring” isn’t an excuse anymore. Now, healthy is more tastier. It is future.
